... the very definition of 'poor' states "lacking sufficient money to live at a standard considered comfortable or normal", so by definition, 'poor' is relative to position of what is considered 'normal' where ever you may find your home.

... i personally live in Virgina, where the median family income was $78,290 in 2014 and the median home sale price was $302,000. the home we live in is valued around $120,000 (still owe most of that) and our income is somewhere around 20% less than 'median'. but most of my friends would call us rich.

... i am poor and needy exists to promote good works that help the helpless. we provide free websites to groups that are doing a good work, but have little support. in 2005 we had a ministry to India, called New Wind Ministries, Inc. that eventually fed 240 children, one meal, six days a week. in 2008 we closed our construction company, which supported the feeding project, and the ministry itself.
