… seek justice …

Seek the Lord, all you humble ones of the land; perform judgment, and seek righteousness, and answer the things, in order that you may be covered on the day of the Lord’s wrath.

(Zephaniah 2:3, LES)

““You shall appoint judges and officers in all your towns that the LORD your God is giving you, according to your tribes, and they shall judge the people with righteous judgment. You shall not pervert justice. You shall not show partiality, and you shall not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and subverts the cause of the righteous. Justice, and only justice, you shall follow, that you may live and inherit the land that the LORD your God is giving you.”

(Deuteronomy 16:18–20, ESV)

And I will leave among you a people meek and humble, and they will reverence the name of the Lord, the remnant of Israel; and they will not do injustice, and they will not speak vanity, and there will not be found a deceitful tongue in their mouth; because they will pasture and cause to rest, and there will not be one who frightens them.”

(Zephaniah 3:12–13, LES)

“Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness will find life and honor.”

(Proverbs 21:21, NRSV)

“But the LORD of hosts is exalted by justice, and the Holy God shows himself holy by righteousness.”

(Isaiah 5:16, NRSV)

” … Maintain justice, and do what is right … “

“Thus says the LORD: Maintain justice, and do what is right, for soon my salvation will come, and my deliverance be revealed. Happy is the mortal who does this, the one who holds it fast, who keeps the sabbath, not profaning it, and refrains from doing any evil.” (Isaiah 56:1–2, NRSV)
